The Snowbird Human-Powered Ornithopter was designed and constructed by a team of students from the University of Toronto. On August 2nd 2010 it sustained both altitude and airspeed for 19.3 seconds, becoming the world's first successful human-powered ornithopter. Music by Nicholas Martel and Daniel Gauthier. Indoor flying at Bentham  has now finished, it will be back in the Autumn

Spring BBQ Sunday April 29th.
Also Control Line Carrier Flying and competition.
Normal flying as usual as the carrier will be well out of the normal flying area

Slope Flying  

 Monday 

Strong thermal lift at Selsley with poor slope lift, we landed out a few times before making contact with  lift

A flight log from Guy's Windstar, we got this model 300 feet higher than my Experienced Pro

Tuesday 
    

Wednesday

There was light slope lift and some smooth but not exciting thermal lift on Lesley today
I only got over 1K once and it was a very slow climb taking over 5 minutes

Thursday at Selsley 

A strong wind but not a great deal of lift, three of the para gliders got away and a few landed out when the lift faded

Lift was variable Friday afternoon

Guy's Windstar at Selsley, a very nice model to fly, it would make nice trainer

A cold miserable day, I flew at cam Long Down

Sunday

Light winds and some very strong lift, I specked out my AVA twice, it took ages to dethermal it
