Steady SW with strong lift at Frocester this afternoon. I only took my Fusion and had a good hour between showers. There was some challenging turbulence further off to the left of the slope

A 53-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital after a paragliding accident.

Paramedics, police and firefighters were called to rescue the man after he crashed his paraglider on Haresfield Beacon at 1.15pm today, Wednesday.

Fire crews were called to move the man from the crash site to a road ambulance which was taking him to Frenchay Hospital where he will be treated for rib injuries.

7 ambulances, 3 police cars, a helicopter, a serious incident vehicle, a 6 wheel drive vehicle and a fire engine were used to transport the pilot 

The lift was light, this guy had to flap a little to keep in the same place
