Malvern SA News The Competition consisted of the following flights plus one discard, 5 min, 6 min, 8 min and a 12 min flight. No landing bonus as the conditions were quite turbulent. The wind speed was in excess of 11mph and from the SSW. This wind direction had the wind coming over the trees by the river, causing extreme turbulence at times. Lift during the comp was very sparse and only one competitor succeeded in flying for the max 12 mins without a fault, well done Steve Pearse. Congratulations to Cliff Hannam for his win in difficult conditions, following on from his success at the BARCS Radioglide earlier in the 'summer'.

for this year by Sqeela with his Electric Shadow. on Minchinhampton common
from 150 metre launch. This is for hand launched, bungee or one short motor run on a flat field without the use of slope lift Adam holds the HLG record at 12 minutes

Saturday 28th July & Saturday 11th August The rare Barbastelle and greater Horse Shoe bat have been seen near Javaline park next to the flying field, this could halt the building of the incinerator as the heavy toxic smoke emitted would poison the bats. We went to Frocester on Monday evening, where was everyone else? It
turned out to be a very pleasant evening with light slope lift and
weak thermals, models flown were Meds shooting star, my OD and

A very warm afternoon at Minch and a very light breeze, Adam would have beaten his record flight if I hadn't put him off, Adam only did 11.59 mins, but still a good HLG flight No DH problems
