Computer nerd bit

This program was free and did remove the Adware I installed by accident.

You often run free programs only to find out later they only work on the paid for version, you usually have to use several anti adware programs to get a computer clean

I used the free AVG program to tidy up my computer, unfortunately it is defragmented  the hard disc and should finish next Tuesday, How longer would it take to do the big multi terabyte discs?

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps

Malvern SA News

Mike Grantham won the F3F comp, I was second
This was the last of the comps for this year, only one comp was cancelled

Flown on Sunday 6 November on a bright sunny almost cloudless day with a light Northerly wind, the last slope comp of the year, held on North Hill, was supposed to be a 'Man-on-man' Pylon Race but with nine members entering this would have involved 72 flights.

Various options were discussed but in the end it was decided to hold a speed comp instead, as this was the closest in style to the original pylon race advertised.

The conditions varied from good lift to 'lets give up'. In the end, with the wind speed dropping off to virtually nothing, it was agreed by all that after the 2 rounds that had already been flown the competition should end. Thus concluded the eighteenth and last competition of the year 2011.

The results were:

Position Name Points
1st Mike Grantham  100
2nd Phil Hayward  90
3rd Malcolm White  80
4th Steve Hannon  70
5th Geoff Carter  70
6th Steve Pearse  60
7th John Freeman  55
8th Nick Neve  50
9th Barry O'Hara  45

Sunday

A good session at Rodborough, The Weasels went well and Pete and Bryan's M50s looked very fast

Rodborough flew fine this afternoon in about a 15mph ESE wind, straight up the valley. Though patches of sink came through, they didn't last long and it was great to fly in the sun against a blue sky back drop.

Eight pilots come through to enjoy it during my two hour stay. It was good day for Rodborough, not everyones' favourite slope.
