Membership details and SCSA info

1:21 AM (19 hours ago)

Hello SCSA members,

At the 2018 AGM of the SCSA, held on Wednesday 12th December, with 17 members present, we set the membership fees for 2019 to be as follows:-

£46 full for seniors members (includes BMFA membership and insurance of £38)
£17 for Junior members (includes BMFA membership and insurance)
£8 for associate members (these members must already have BMFA membership privately or associated with another Club)

This was a £4 increase for full senior members, in line with the £4 increase in BMFA membership.

Please note that BMFA has introduced a new online membership system, which allows you to join the BMFA online. They will then email you your insurance certificate and membership card, for you to print out at home.
However this system doesn't enable the collection of the SCSA fees of £8. If you have joined the BMFA online and you also want to be  a SCSA member, please send your £8 to Mike Brinkworth; see payee and address below (or ask for online bank transfer details)

Associate members - If you are a member on another BMFA club, the new  online system allows you to add the SCSA as a secondary club, although you will still need to pay the £8 SCSA associate member fee.

If you have not re-joined the BMFA online and would prefer to continue in the usual way, make your cheques payable to "SCSA" and enclose a stamped addressed envelope. Don't forget to include any other details or updates, such as "I've paid BMFA fees directly online", including your name, address, BMFA number, email address, and phone number, then send it to:-

Mike Brinkworth, 12 St Bartholomews Close, Cam, Dursley, GL11 5UR

The Committee
Surprisingly, there were no members volunteering to take a position on the Committee and so:-
Club Chairman, Brian Boucher agreed to continue.
Club Secretary, Bryan Tucker agreed to continue.
Club Treasurer, Mike Brinkworth agreed to continue.

The 2018 Boxing-day pylon race will be held as usual at 9:30 for 10 o'clock start. Pete Wolfenden will be running the comp.
The comp will be held on the windward slope, Pete will select the slope at about 8am on Boxing-day.
If you get to the slope and Pete is not there, then you will be in the wrong place.
If in doubt ring Pete  on 07761199123 after 8:15am on the day.
We need helpers to run the competition so if you don't feel like entering but could benefit from having your cobwebs blown away after all the turkey and booze from Christmas day, please turn up and give a hand.

Next Event in 2019:-  Wednesday, January 16th at 8:00pm at the BGGC Club house bar will be the Paper Aeroplane competition.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Bryan Tucker (SCSA Secretary)
